The Ukrainian is the main player in Girona
Ukrainian midfielder Girona Victor Tsygankov said that the team’s task for the season is to reach European competition.
“My goal is to win every game. I try to give my best every minute. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose, but obviously we want to improve on what we did last season.”
“I think the ultimate goal is to play in European competition next year. It would be positive for a club that would make history and for us.”
“I want to constantly improve: play better, score more goals, give more assists… I have never been satisfied with myself.”
Tsygankov has been playing for Girona since January 2023. Last season, the Ukrainian scored three goals and gave six assists in 19 matches of the championship of Spain.
Since the new season, Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik has joined Victor. In the 1st round of the new season, it was the Ukrainians who saved a draw for their club in the game against Real Sociedad. Dovbik, coming on as a substitute, made the score 1:1 with Tsygankov’s pass.
In the next round, Girona will host Getafe on August 20.
