Ukrainian defender played the whole match again
Liverpool won a decisive victory over Bournemouth in the match of the 2nd round English Premier League – 3:1.
Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarny spent all 90 minutes as part of the visiting team.
Bournemouth shocked Anfield with a quick goal – in the 3rd minute Antoine Semenio delivered an accurate shot from the pass of former Reds striker Dominic Solanke. But before the break, the hosts took the lead. First, Luis Diaz scored, and then Fohamed Salah finished off his own shot from the penalty spot, reflected by the goalkeeper Neto.
At the start of the second half, Liverpool were left with ten men – McAllister received a straight red for a rough foul. Despite this, the Reds soon scored a third time – Diaz scored a double at his own expense. Until the end of the meeting, Andoni Iraola’s wards failed to close the gap, despite the numerical superiority.
In any case, this result is an improvement for Bournemouth, having lost 0-9 to Liverpool last season.
In the next round on August 27, Liverpool travel to visit Newcastle, and Bournemouth will host Tottenham the day before.
