With Benzema off, Al Ittihad wins another one in Arabia

Without the shine of Karim Benzema, the team’s main player of the season, and the assistance of a Brazilian, Al Ittihad won another one in the Saudi Championship

O Al Ittihad won the Al Tai this Saturday, the 19th, in a game valid for the second round of the Saudi Championship. The goals were scored by the scorer Hamdallahwhich was assisted by the prominent Brazilian Igor Coronadoand by Al Amri already in the final minutes, seeing Benzema come out blank once more.

Relying on early favoritism and the confidence of playing within their domains, Ittihad went for it from the start of the game and managed to have some good moments in the first stage. His high number of shots on goal compared to the little ball dominated by the opponent was what most demonstrated his technical superiority.

Even so, the first 45 minutes ended with the score at zero, as it started and without the home team being able to turn that superiority into balls in the net. Some of their star players who were hired at the beginning of this season remained out of action until the start of the second half.

The posture changed for the final stage and it took only 9 minutes to break the defensive barrier set up by the opponent. The number 99, Hamdallah was the author of the first goal and the result seemed to be maintained, when Al Amri, already in the additions, increased the account and guaranteed another victory for the team.
