The head coach of Kryvbas spoke about the match against Shakhtar and shared his optimism
Head coach Kryvbas Yuriy Vernydub — about the duel of his team against minerand about those who make football possible today.
“I think the score 3:3 with the champion of our country Shakhtar is very good. I don’t want to say much about the match. The team got into a difficult situation at the beginning – they had to get up from their knees and fight on. We scored a good goal, making the score 1:2, and managed to return to the game. Then – again the mistake of our footballer … But after a while we score the second goal – and again the intrigue is alive.
“In my opinion, in the second half it was an equal match. We took advantage of our moment. The Pitmen also had good chances, but they didn’t score again – that’s why the score was 3:3. For this I am very grateful to the guys. We have a strong core inside.”
“I am very happy for the wards. We will work even harder and go only forward from match to match. This is the most important thing. And then life will show where we will reach at the end of the championship.”
“I understand that it is very difficult for everyone right now. Before the game itself, there is again anxiety, you sit and wait, then you go out … Do you think this does not affect? Kryvbas played at home with Shakhtar in a draw (3:3). Wards of Vernydub in the first half had to recoup with 0:2 and 1:3. Teams finished with unequal lineups – Dmitry Khomchenovsky was removed from the hosts, and two players from the guests at once.
