Shaparenko, Nazarina and Yaremchuk called up to the Ukrainian national team for matches against England and Italy

The most important matches of Euro 2024 qualification will take place on September 9 and 12

Head coach Ukrainian national football team Sergei Rebrov announced the composition of the national team, which will prepare for the matches of the championship qualification Europe 2024 against national teams England And Italy.

The main list of the national team includes 25 players, among whom there are no representatives of Ukrainian clubs, except for Dynamo and Shakhtar. Five more players are on the reserve list.

Among the called-up players were Mykola Shaparenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who recovered from injuries, as well as Shakhtar midfielder Yehor Nazarina and Roman Yaremchuk, who is gaining form in Brugge.

COMPOSITION OF THE TEAM OF UKRAINE

Goalkeepers: George Bushchan (Dynamo), Anatoly Trubin (Benfica, Portugal), Andrey Lunin (Real Madrid, Spain).

Defenders: Nikolay Matvienko, Yefim Konoplya (both Shakhtar), Denis Popov, Alexander Tymchik (both Dynamo), Vitaliy Mikolenko (Everton, England), Ilya Zabarny (Bournemouth, England), Sergey Krivtsov (Inter Miami, USA), Bogdan Mikhailichenko ( Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia).

Midfielders: Andriy Yarmolenko, Sergei Sidorchuk, Vitaliy Buyalsky, Nikolay Shaparenko (all Dynamo), Taras Stepanenko, Alexander Zubkov, Georgy Sudakov, Yegor Nazarina (all Shakhtar), Alexander Zinchenko (Arsenal, England), Viktor Tsygankov (Girona, Spain), Mikhail Mudrik (Chelsea, England).

Forwards: Roman Yaremchuk (Bruges, Belgium), Artem Dovbik (Girona, Spain), Vladislav Vanat (Dynamo).

Reserve list: Alexander Karavaev (Dynamo), Alexander Svatok, Alexander Pikhalenok (both – SC Dnepr-1), Arseniy Batagov (Zorya), Daniil Sikan (Shakhtar).

The Ukrainian national team is second with six points in Group C in qualifying for Euro 2024. The English are leading the group, having won all four previous matches.

On September 9, Rebrov’s wards will host the England team in Wroclaw, Poland. The Italy-Ukraine match will take place on September 12 in Milan at the San Siro stadium.
