Serbian defender Srdjan Babic expressed the hope that he could help Moscow “Spartacus to win the title of Russian football champion.

When I received the offer, I did not hesitate for long. All the negotiations lasted about three days. I think Spartak is one of those clubs that it is wrong to refuse.

I don’t even know, maybe red and white are my lucky colors. I have played with them almost all my life. And I really like them! I played for Crvena Zvezda for several years, won three league titles with them, took part in the Champions League and the Europa League. I hope that in Spartak I can repeat these feats.

Once I was already in Russia, when Red Star Star played in the Europa League with CSKA. Which victory are you most proud of? Certainly in Barcelona. It was with Almeria last season, against Lewandowski.

I was comfortable in Spain, it became my second home, but now a new chapter begins for me. I want everything to go as well here.

I have already spoken with the head coach, he told me a lot about the club. And I can’t wait to start training with the guys.

Last season, I played twice against Theo Bongond. Both games ended in a draw. Let’s play on the same team now. I hope that together we can win many matches. I also know other Spartak players, not yet personally, but I have studied almost the entire team.

In Spain, I have rarely met players as tall as me, it is not accepted there. But I’m sure that in Russia I will have to face major opponents. My first love is football. I’ve never played basketball, but I like it too. It may sound strange, but I like working with the ball down low, but I’m also good up front. I hope I can help my new team win the title!
