Euro 2024 qualifier will take place on September 9
Defender Manchester City John Stones continues to recover from injury. Citizens head coach Pep Guardiola has said the center back will return to the field after the September international break.
So the Stones won’t help England team in an away match against Ukraine in the 5th round of the qualifying group stage Euro 2024. The fight will take place on September 9 in Wroclaw, Poland.
The Stones have only made one appearance for Manchester City this season. The defender has not played in the Premier League or UEFA Super Cup.
Stones made 67 appearances for England, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
England are leading Group C for Euro 2024 with 12 points after four rounds. Ukraine has six points after three matches.
