Mason Greenwood going to leave “Manchester United after an internal investigation into a case involving alleged rape of a football player.
Everyone involved in the investigation process, including Greenwood himself, is aware that it will not be easy for him to resume his career at Manchester United. Therefore, we came to an agreement that it would be more appropriate for Mason to do it outside of Old Trafford.
We will now continue to work with Greenwood to achieve this goal,” the club said in a statement.
In January last year, model Harriet Robson posted photos with a broken lip and bruises on her body. According to her, Greenwood beat and raped her.
Manchester United suspended the striker from training and matches, then the police arrested the Englishman. In early February this year, the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped charges against Greenwood. Later, Robson gave birth to a child from a football player.
