About the best personalities and the main figures of the tour – here.
Goalkeeper – Andrey Popovich (Agribusiness)
This tour is the least productive in the new season, and this is not so much the fault of the field players, but the merit of the goalkeepers. Brilliantly played, for example, the goalkeepers of the match Niva (Ternopil) – Metalist. And in Khust, both goalkeepers repeatedly rescued their teams. And if Ryabenko, who remained the main player after the departure of Belimenko, at one of the moments hit the ball in front of him, so that Kuzmin opened the scoring in favor of Agribusiness, Popovich played perfectly. He repeatedly reacted to long-range aimed strikes by Vasilinets, Borisenko, Merdeev. And after the break, he really saved the guests by reacting to the blows of Skiba and Borisenko. Minimal victory of Agribusiness would have been impossible without the reliable performance of the pet of Transcarpathian football – Popovych.
- Best in Group B: Alexander Litvinenko (Victoria)
Right back – Pavlo Polehenko (Karpaty)
In the Lviv match, there was a tough confrontation on the flank. He not only practiced lightly under Podlepenski with his high middle position and bright attacking essence, but he himself actively connected to other people’s goals. Actually, it was Pavel who played an important role that the ball got to Podlepenets, whose blow was corrected by Igor.
- Best in Group B: Bogdan Bychkov (Victoria)
Central defender – Mikhail Hornet (Ingulets)
The central match of the tour was held in Petrovo, the Left Bank was able to create significant problems for one of the main competitors. Ingulets did face serious pressure at the end of the match and some problems before the break. It’s good that Ingulets’ defensive line, led by the experienced Shershn, played well at interceptions and tackles. He personally interrupted a number of passes, and also played well in situations that needed defusing (as when he cleared the ball, parried by the goalkeeper after Spivakov’s shot). Interestingly, at the gates of others, Mikhail also achieved success. It was he who closed Kozak’s cross after a free kick, actually scoring the winning goal into the Kiev goal.
- Best in Group A: Artur Novotryasov (Bukovina)
Central defender – Kirill Prokopchuk (Niva Buzovaya)
Niva from the Kyiv region became the first team in the championship, which managed to suspend the Karpaty. In many ways, the merit is on a well-coordinated defense. Even without Misyura and Korokhov, the defense of the Buzovites coped with the pressure of the Lviv team. Only in two moments with Demchenko’s aggravation and in the episode on the verge of offside with Igor’s goal can the guests be reproached, but Prokopchuk specifically won his fight against the powerful players of the hosts.
- Best in Group B: Maxim Sasovsky (Victoria)
Left back – Vladislav Dvorovenko (Niva Buzovaya)
The match with the Karpaty was expected to be a real test for the defense of the Niva. In particular, Dvorovenko faced such a strong opponent as Podlepenets on the flank – and the high-speed winger, to a greater extent, was forced to move from his zone to the center. Based on the logic of the referee, Vladislav himself lingered during the moment when Igor corrected Podlepenets’ blow – and the referee did not record an offside position. But Dvorovenko successfully executed an out from the opposite flank, which was closed by Timenko’s head – and it was a saving goal that interrupted the Lions’ winning streak.
- Best in Group B: Evgeny Kostyuk (Flint)
Central midfielder – Oleksandr Pyatov (Ingulets)
The middle line of Ingulets withstood a difficult test on the Left Bank. And withstood with honor. For example, Pyatov became a real hero of key episodes. It was he who picked up the ball on the left flank, unscrewing the scoring feed under the blow of Sitalo (first goal). Later, Alexander earned a free kick, which eventually led to the second scoring of the Petrovtsy.
- Best in Group A: Egor Demchenko (Carpathians)
Right midfielder – Bohdan Duhota (Bukovina)
The latest newcomer from Bukovina Duhota came on as a substitute in the 57th minute – and managed not only to revive the game against Prykarpattya, but even turn it around. In addition, the guests, to be honest, created a lot of chances and could well take the lead. But when D. Ryabogo’s serve took Popchuk by surprise at the far corner of the goalkeeper’s area, Dukhot’s debutant took the ball and shot the gate. The winning goal in the first match – Bogdan made an application for the status of a favorite of Chernivtsi fans.
- Best in Group B: Suleiman Seythalilov (Metallurgist)
Attacking midfielder – Stanislav Morarenko (Metalist)
Kharkiv team unexpectedly played strongly against Niva. In Ternopil, they were able to score more than once in the first half, but converted their moment in the end of the game. One of Metalist’s most active and productive midfielders was Morarenko. He could score both from the game and from set pieces. A crazy goal, which would have been the best on the tour, was canceled by goalkeeper Mekhaniv, pulling Stas’s long-range shot by his collar. Fulfilling standards and punching from afar, Morarenko achieved his goal. It was after his strike that Vasily Lutsiv played on the rebound and brought the first spring victory to Metalist.
- Best in Group B: Vadim Shavrin (Victoria)
Left midfielder – Andrey Globa (Flint)
Technical and creative Globa is one of the brightest Kremenchug players in every match. In Gorishni Plavny, he also led the game of Flint through the left flank, created one of the sharpest moments of the first half for the team (before the goal was scored). Before the break, Andriy sent the ball into the goal from a free-kick with a good round shot (see the nomination “Goal of the tour”), and this very episode decided the fate of the Derby of Poltava region.
- Best in Group A: Vladimir Timenko (Niva Buzovaya)
Forward – Denis Galata (Metallurg)
The start of Galata in Metallurg turned out to be no less difficult than Sidorov, in whose place he came, in Metalist 1925 and the Premier League. But the regional center of his native region changed everything. Denis is back in the game. In the match against SK Poltava Galata twice led to exacerbations at the gates of the hosts before the break. I could open an account myself. Instead, already in the middle of the second half, after the hosts’ goal, Denis managed to finish off after Seythalilov’s shot (he was among those who developed the attack at the initial stage). Later, it was Galata who earned a free kick, after which Palyukh scored the winning goal.
- Best in Group B: Vasily Lutsiv (metalworker)
Forward – Yaroslav Galenko (Victoria)
Victoria took three points in the Kyiv region, and Galenko was one of the main characters in this successful outing of his team. Even earlier, he could open the scoring in the match against Dinaz, when he closed the corner with an insidious header – a little inaccurate. Later, after the break, Yaroslav started to pass from the depths and, after a discount from the equally active Shavrina, scored the winning goal. As you can see, after parting with LNZ, Galenko remains surprisingly effective in the First League.
Best in Group A: Igor Neves Alves (Carpathians)

Kharkiv players play with the youngest line-up in the western group, but at the same time they demonstrate bold attacking football. In Ternopil, from the first minutes they began to create chances at the gates of such a well-played team as Niva, and also completed a large number of serves from corners and other standards. Anishchenko was not afraid to put out two of the freshest newcomers from the first minutes – the Lutsiv brothers, which fully justified itself, and also managed to replace several lost players, including defender Vernattus, who was removed in the last round. With the youth and inexperience of the wards, Metalist had a chance to win points in every round and finally broke the losing streak that had been going on since May – since the Premier League.
- Analysis from the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches – here.
There are many successful substitutions on this tour. For example, Duhota from Chernivtsi in his debut match brought the first victory of the season to Bukovina, and Litovchenko from the Left Bank returned hope to the team in the central match of the tour, when somehow the fifth after a free kick gave an assist to Slotyuk. However, our laureate is special. Timenko, one of the old-timers from Buzov, who has been playing in Niva since amateur times, after 15 minutes on the field managed to equalize the score in Lviv with a header after Dvorovenko’s out from the right flank. The Carpathians have not lost points before.
- SportArena.com stats: 3 league matches, 1 penalty shootout.

The 22-year-old midfielder worked in Dynamo and Shakhtar in his youth, showed promise in Kolos, made his senior debut with Dinaz. But recently he played in the championship of the Kyiv region as part of Dengoff. The recent situational amateur noted his return to the professional level with a winning goal in his debut match.
- Sport Arena stats: 1 league match, 1 goal.
This is the least productive round of the new season – 13 goals in nine matches, and perhaps the postponement of Chernihiv will improve this statistic. Therefore, there is not much to choose from, and some goals (like Shcherbak from Poltava) are interesting for more preparatory work, in particular, Zidane’s feint from an assistant. So this is our choice. Quoting the report: “Andrey Globa put his team ahead with a great free-kick.”
The goal can be seen on video from 2:58

Read later on our website an interview with the player who scored the winning goal in the central match of the tour.
- Sport Arena stats: 4 league matches, 1 goal.
