Not only Usyk – Dubois. Principal rival for Berinchyk, a veteran who fought with Dzinziruk and seven Ukrainians in the card

A boxing evening in Wroclaw will be very interesting and unique for Ukrainian professional boxing

On August 26, the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw will host a big boxing evening, the main event of which will be a duel between WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk and World Boxing Association mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois.

Also on this day, seven (!) Ukrainian boxers will enter the ring at once, which makes the event unique for Ukrainian professional boxing – it is unlikely that so many of our fighters have ever fought in one day in one place abroad. At the same time, judging by the layouts, we expect some very interesting fights. We will tell you more about the most interesting undercard battles.

An old acquaintance for Berinchyk

International WBO lightweight champion Denis Berinchyk will face Swedish boxer Anthony Yigit 11 years later. For the first time, a Ukrainian and a Swede crossed paths in the 1/8 finals of the London Olympics, on the way to which Yigit defeated Puerto Rican Francisco Vargas. Anthony scored a competitive fight against Berinchyk, losing only one point – 23:24.

Immediately after the Olympics, Yigit went pro, where in 10 years he has already fought 31 fights – 27 wins (17 early), three losses and one draw. Moreover, the Swede lost to really cool boxers – Belarusian Ivan Baranchik, Americans Rolando Romero and Keyshaun Davis. The list of losers includes Timo Schwarzkopf, DeMarcus Corley, Armando Robles.

“I know that he is a real warrior. We will have a real kill!” Berinchyk promised a spectacular fight long before the fight.

Dangerous British Pakistani for Mitrofanov

Perhaps the most dangerous opponent was the middleweight Dmitry Mitrofanov. 24-year-old British boxer Hamza Shiraz is one of the best middleweight boxers in Britain, in the top 15 ratings of leading boxing organizations. In the BoxRec computer rating, Shiraz ranks 13th, while the same Mitrofavno is 110th.

Shiraz has 17 fights in the professional ring, in which Hamza won 17 victories, 13 of which were early. Shiraz is a European Welterweight Champion, Commonwealth Champion and WBC Silver Middleweight Champion. The Briton won six of his last fights ahead of schedule, four of them before the end of the fifth round.

In the UK, high hopes are placed on Shiraz, considering him even more talented than Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Smith.

Veteran for Chebotar

The most experienced opponent went to welterweight Vasily Chebotar, who, although he was born in Moldova and played for this country, represents Ukraine in the pros. His opponent will be the 38-year-old Colombian Joel Julio, who had 56 fights in the professional ring, 39 of which he won, 33 ahead of schedule.

Hoel began his pro career in 2001, at the age of 16 (!) (by the way, Chebotar had not yet been born), in 2008 he gave a very competitive fight to the WBO title holder at that time Sergey Dzinziruk, losing to separate the decision of the judges.

Yes, Julio lost his last 13 fights, five ahead of schedule, but such a fighter will definitely be a test for Chebotar.

Title fight for Lapin

Ukrainian light heavyweight Daniel Lapin got his first title already in the eighth fight in the professional ring: in a fight with the German boxer Aro Schwartz (20-6-1, 13 KOs), he will play for the IBO Continental belt.

Schwartz is a fairly experienced boxer who has held several local titles. Aro has 20 wins with six losses and one draw. Of his last six fights, Schwartz won five, losing one duel. And – ahead of schedule.

Undefeated opponent for Cherkashin

One of the Ukrainian middleweight prospects, Fedor Cherkashin, who is in the top 10 ratings of all major boxing organizations, will meet with a strong French boxer of Congolese origin, Anahuel Ngamisengue. The opponent has 12 victories in the professional ring, 8 of which are early. At the same time, in his last five fights, Ngamisenge did not go the entire distance of the battle.

Yes, the Frenchman did not yet have rivals of the level of Cherkashin, and equally, half of his opponents had a negative record, he is able to deliver problems to the Ukrainian.

On August 26, Yaroslav Khartsyz will also enter the ring of the Tarczynski Arena, his opponent will be the local boxer Konrad Chaikovsky, as well as Alexander Solomennikov, who will meet with the Pole Konrad Gubel. The boxing evening in Wroclaw will be broadcast by the MEGOGO media service.
