Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola underwent back surgery, according to the club’s press service.
The Spanish specialist suffered from severe back pain recently and flew to Barcelona for emergency surgery. The operation was successful, now Guardiola will undergo rehabilitation.
Gavrdiola’s assistant Juanma Lillo will take over as interim City head coach.
Guardiola is expected to return to the squad after the upcoming international break.
