Corinthians records a large deficit in the first half of the year; look

This Monday, the 21st, Corinthians released its financial balance sheet for the first half of the year with a millionaire deficit recorded so far; scenario could be worse

O Corinthians released its financial balance sheet for the first half of 2023 earlier this Monday afternoon, and confirmed a deficit of almost BRL 40 million so far. Despite this, the initial budget put a loss R$ 30 million greater than what happened at this point in the season.

Thus, it is possible to state that the club’s financial planning is even better than expected at the beginning of the year, when the board planned a loss of BRL 70 million for the first half. In both scenarios, the Alvinegra leadership is confident of ending the year with a surplus.

This happens because most of Timão’s annual money usually goes into the second half, mainly with the payment of the Brasileirão and the quotas of television transmissions. It is worth remembering that the alvinegro from São Paulo is the second team that receives the most money through this contract.

Like other sources, already received, the topic of selling players has already registered more than R$ 72 million not counting the transfers of Roger Guedeswho went to football in Qatar, and Adson, which is on its way to France. In the forecast calculations, the club has already exceeded the sales target for the current year.

The other sources of income that Corinthians had in the first six months of the year were related to sponsorships and advertising (R$ 57.8 million), game collection (R$ 42.7), in addition to awards, member-fans and lotteries (BRL 22.5). With that, the football department had a profit of R$ 18.8 million, but with the social club registering all the losses
