Corinthians prepares tribute to fans who were victims of an accident

This Tuesday, the 22nd, the Corinthians receives the studentsin a match valid for the quarterfinals of the South American. The confrontation takes place in Neo Quimica Arena, at 21:30 (Brasília time). The game will be the first time that Timão will go to the field after the tragedy involving the club’s fans, who were victims of a bus accident, on the way from Belo Horizonte to São Paulo.

Therefore, the club disclosed that a tribute is being prepared for this very important match for the Corinthians season. “Corinthians and their loyal supporters are preparing tributes to the victims of the accident on the Fernão Dias highway, which killed seven people and left dozens injured, in the early hours of 8/20”said Timão, on his social networks.

In this way, Corinthians intends to use black balloons to symbolize mourning at this very delicate moment for the club, family members and acquaintances of the victims of the accident. “In tonight’s game against Estudiantes by CONMEBOL Sudamericana, the fans must raise black bladders to the air, over their heads, in the seventh minute of the game”, told the publication.

The publication also gives some instructions for the fans who will be present at the stadium, with a view to the tribute being carried out in the best way. In addition, Timão made a request for a minute of silence to be respected before the opening whistle.
