The vice-champions of Ukraine almost all the time of the away game in Slovakia played in the minority.

Dnipro-1 won the first qualification match for the Conference League against Slovak Trnava.

Note that the match for the Ukrainian club did not start in the best way. Already in the fifth minute, Eduard Sarapiy, who received a red card, forced his partners to play in the minority for most of the match.

In these circumstances, the Ukrainian vice-champions had no choice but to retreat on defense in an attempt to keep their goals intact.

In the first half, they were successful, and at the start of the second 45-minute period, Kelvin Ofori put the hosts ahead with a long-range shot with the help of a rebound. However, Dnipros managed to level the score. Oleksandr Pikhalyonok scored from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.

As a result, the final whistle set a draw 1:1, and this despite the fact that the visitors finished the match with a double minority. In the 88th minute, Igor Kohut received a second yellow card.

The rematch will take place one week later, on August 31, in Kosice, Slovakia, at the local stadium of the same name.
