Zhytomyr team climbed to second place in the UPL
Polissya on the road won a victory over Alexandria in the match of the 5th round championship of Ukraine — 3:0.
In the first half, the Zhytomyr team had the initiative and more often threatened the opponent’s goal, but the newcomer to the UPL failed to score a goal.
Toward the end of the meeting, Polesie still took the lead – Alexander Nazarenko aimed a shot from outside the penalty area. Three minutes later, Benny Macuana increased the advantage of the guests, and in the 89th minute Philip Budkovsky brought the score to a devastating one.
Polissya scored 9 points and moved up to second place in the UPL. Alexandria with 7 points dropped to the sixth position.
In the next round on September 2, Alexandria will play against Vorskla, and Polesie will meet with Obolon.
