Vasily and Alexander have been friends for many years
Former world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko arrived at Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, where the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight title fight will take place Oleksandr Usyk against the challenger Daniel Dubois.
Usyk-Dubois fight will be the main event of the boxing evening in Wroclaw. Judge in the ring – Puerto Rican Luis Pabon. The championship fight will be shown by the MEGOGO media service.
Earlier on the undercard of Usyk vs. Dubois, Daniel Lapin (8-0, 2 KOs) defeated German Aro Schwartz (20-7-1, 13 KOs) to win the IBO Continental light heavyweight title. Yaroslav Khartsyz got his third victory in the professional ring in a duel against the Pole Konrad Chaikovsky.
Fedor Cherkashin (22-1, 14 KOs) lost to the Frenchman Anahuel Ngamissenga (13-1-1, 6 KOs) by decision of the majority of judges, and Dmitry Mitrofanov (13-1-1, 6 KOs) lost by technical knockout to Hamza Shiraz (18-0 , 14 KOs). These are the first defeats of Ukrainians in their professional career.
Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney for the undisputed lightweight title in May. Vasily will not return to the ring in 2023.
