Argentinian striker Lionel Messi scored a goal on his MLS North American Football League debut and assisted “InterMiami” win for the first time in 11 games.
Inter Miami’s away game rival was “New York Red Bulls” . The score was opened in the 32nd minute by Diego Gomez, the visitors’ midfielder. Messi came on in the 60th minute and scored 29 minutes later.
The match ended 2-0 in favor of Inter Miami. David Beckham’s side last won in MLS 11 games ago – on May 13 in a meeting with the New England Revolution. For Messi, the goal was the 11th in nine appearances for his new side.
In the next round, on August 31, Inter Miami will face “New England Revolution” .
