Ukrainian midfielder will make his debut in a new club
Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovsky will play from the first minutes for Genoa in an away match against Lazio in the 2nd round championship of Italy.
For Ruslan, this fight is his debut in the new club. Judging by the lineup, Ruslan will play a right attacking insider in a 4-3-2-1 formation.
The 30-year-old midfielder officially joined Genoa from Marseille on 19 August. In the evening of the same day, the Griffins, without a Ukrainian, lost heavily to Fiorentina in the home match of the first round – 1:4.
Malinovsky in January moved to Marseille from Atalanta on loan. In July, the French club activated the option to buy out the Ukrainian’s contract. Ruslan’s contract with Marseille was calculated until the summer of 2026.
Malinovsky played 23 matches for Olimpik in all competitions last season. The Ukrainian scored two goals in them and gave one assist.
The Lazio-Genoa match will start at 21:45 Kyiv time.
