Athletistic/Football. Former CSKA striker Valery Masalitin has commented on the transfers of Jorge Carrascal and Jesus Medina, who left the military squad in the summer.

“Carrascal’s departure for CSKA is not a big problem. The club has won well in terms of transfers. Jorge showed quality play at CSKA. He was an experienced player, but at some point the Colombian player has stopped following Fedotov’s demands. You can’t let him play when there is no desire. Like Medina, he has become an unnecessary burden for CSKA, players who don’t want to play and are constantly in conflict with the coach are not necessary.

Guys value money more than football. If they were really interested in football, they could pursue their career in Europe. However, they did not leave, but joined Spartak and Dynamo. Their principle is that whoever pays the most, I will go there and play. They are like ordinary guest workers. They made money in Russia and left. I’m sure that in a few years no one will remember this”, shared his opinion in an interview with the correspondent of the Championship.

Recall that in the current season, 25-year-old Carrascal did not participate in any matches for CSKA. He recently joined Dynamo Moscow. Last season, the Colombian footballer made 26 RPL appearances, scoring six goals and providing one assist. In July 2023, Spartak announced the signing of Jesus Medina from CSKA. The 26-year-old footballer has signed a three-year contract with Spartak.
