Zinchenko’s main competitor left London on loan
Real Sociedad officially announced the signing of a new player – left back Kierana Tierneywho came from Arsenal.
Earlier it was reported that the 26-year-old Scot will join the ranks of Churi Urdin on loan until the end of the season.
Tierney is a competitor of Alexander Zinchenko as a left back. Newcastle were also interested in Kieran’s services.
Tierney has been with the Gunners since the summer of 2019. Last season, Kieran scored one goal and two assists in 36 games across all competitions, but only played 14 minutes for the Community Shield in 2023/24.
Arsenal have scored 7 points in three rounds and are fifth in the Premier League. Real Sociedad started the La Liga season with three draws and are sitting in the middle of the table.
In the next round, the club from San Sebastian, which qualified for the Champions League at the end of the last season, will play against Granada on September 2.
