The first Mavp legionnaire before the new season
Cherkasy Mavpy signed the first legionnaire before the new season – an American defender Armoni Foster.
The Pennsylvania native (192 cm) is known for playing for the local university, where he averaged 17.8 points and 6.5 assists per game in the 2021/22 season. Forster represented the Buffalo Bulls last season with 8.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
Earlier Mavpy announced the transfer of forward Andrey Kalnichenko, center Roman Novikov and big man Andrey Agafonov. Also, the agreements with the club were extended by defenders Nikita Ruslov and Sergey Kuznetsov, center Sergey Skira, as well as Artur Nazarenko and Maxim Fesun.
In the new season of the Superleague 2023/24, the team will continue to be led by Artem Slipenchuk. Under his leadership, Mavpy took seventh place in the last Super League.
