Historic victories for Cape Verde and South Sudan
Today, August 28, the final matches of the 2nd round of the preliminary round took place 2023 FIBA World Championship. The championship takes place in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.
In the central match of the day, the US team defeated Greece – 109:81. Spain defeated Brazil thanks to a breakthrough in the final quarter – 96:78.
Slovenia won the second victory in the tournament, beating Georgia – 88:67. In the asset Luki Doncic double-double: 34 points and 10 rebounds.
We also note the teams of Cape Verde and South Sudan, who won the first ever victory in the world championships.
The game day on Tuesday, August 29, will begin with a duel between Germany and Finland at 10:30 am Kyiv time.
