Usyk’s charity evening helped UNITED 24 raise 1 million hryvnias for the restoration of Ukraine

Among the raffled lots – a golf game with Shevchenko and an excursion from Zinchenko to the Arsenal base

Charity evening in Warsaw on the eve of the fight Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois helped the platform UNITED24 collect 1 million hryvnia for the restoration of Ukraine.

During the auction, a golf game was raffled off with the ex-coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenkoas well as a meeting with Alexander Zinchenko and tickets for an Arsenal match.

“On the eve of the fight of the Ukrainian champion, a charity auction was held in Warsaw. Among others, it featured several lots from UNITED24. A golf game with Andriy Shevchenko was purchased for 10,000 euros. The same amount was given for tickets to the London Arsenal game and an excursion with Alexander Zinchenko to the Gunners’ training base. A custom Easter egg dedicated to the occupied Crimea was purchased for 5,000 euros.

All funds raised will be directed through UNITED24 to the “Restoration of Ukraine” direction. Thanks to our ambassadors and everyone who took part in their event,” UNITED 24 said in a statement.

Usyk, Shevchenko and Zinchenko are the ambassadors of the UNITED24 platform, created on the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to provide financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, civilians, as well as to restore Ukraine from the consequences of Russian military aggression.

Recall that the big evening of boxing took place on August 26 in Wroclaw. The central event was the duel between Usyk and Dubois. At the end of the eighth round, Alexander knocked Daniel down, but the Briton managed to get up and continue the fight. And in the ninth round, the Ukrainian knocked out the Briton after another accurate blow.
