Second racket of Ukraine Angelina Kalinina lost in the first round US Open 2023.
Kalinina lost to the Spaniard in two sets Sarah Sorribes-Tormo. The match lasted just over two hours.
For the entire match, Angelina converted 6 out of 10 break points, giving her opponent eight games on her serve. The Ukrainian also made five double faults.
Sorribes-Tormo won the sixth match in a row. Last week she became the winner of the WTA tournament in Cleveland.
Kalinina will continue her performance at the US Open-2023 in doubles. In the first round, Angelina, along with Irina-Kamelia Begu, will play against Marta Kostyuk and Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
Katerina Beindl also lost in the first round of the US Open today. In the main draw of the US Open-2023, Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk and Lesya Tsurenko continue to perform.
