El-Attar confirmed the information: “I confirm that we have scheduled friendly matches of the Russian national team in Egypt. The dates have already been fixed – September 7 and 11,” El-Attar said as quoted by l Sport Express edition.
It was previously known that the Egyptian Olympic team is considered the Russian national team’s most likely opponent in the September preparations, which also include a game against Qatar.
So far, the Russian Football Union (RFU) has made no official statement and has not confirmed information regarding the partners of the Russian team for the upcoming training camp in September.
