The team will begin full-fledged preparations for the new season on July 1
Main coach Vinnitsa Niva Oleg Ostapenko said that the team will play in the new season of the championship of Ukraine. The corresponding decision was made by the management of the club and the Vinnytsia Regional Football Association.
Ostapenko notedthat so far there are no players on the contract in Niva. The coaching staff has already seen about 50 players and played six control matches. A full gathering of the team is planned to begin on July 1.
“Before the start of the new season, we are doing a lot of preparatory work. We are counting on the assistance of the city and regional councils, who promised to support the team,” Ostapenko said.
“Now we are training at the stadium of the Technical University. So far, these are mostly guys born in 2005-2006. They will bet on the Ukrainian Football Championship. We really hope it starts. Most likely, young guys will play mainly for Niva in the new season. Therefore, it will be difficult to count on a high result.”
“Now Ivan Petruk is training with Niva. We want to involve Oleksandr Boryachuk and other players with experience in professional football. In the future, we strive to make the backbone of a renewed team of experienced players.”
The 2021/22 football season in Ukraine ended ahead of schedule due to the invasion of Russian troops into the country. Niva is located on the eighth position in the final standings of group “A” of the Second League.
