The American film studio Paramount Pictures will show the military season 2022/23 held by the Pitmen.
Donetsk Shakhtar’s football season during the full-scale war in Ukraine can be seen in the cinema. The American channel CBS-Sport and Paramount+ filmed a documentary series about the performances of the Pitmen called Football Must Go On.
According to Deadline, the film’s plot focuses on the war in Ukraine and the club’s performances in European competition.
Remember that after the start of the Russian invasion, the composition of the team changed almost completely. However, Shakhtar managed to finish third in the Champions League group with Real Madrid, Leipzig and Celtic. Then the champions of Ukraine scored 6 points.
The tape will also show the details of the historic, most expensive transfer in the history of domestic football – the transfer of Mikhail Mudrik from Rinat Akhmetov’s club to London’s Chelsea.
In addition, social projects from the club will be presented – help to displaced people and victims of war, as well as help in the treatment of Ukrainian soldiers injured during the war.
The series is set to air on September 12th.
