Guardian of the “Zenith” of St. Petersburg Denis Adamov said he considers himself a better goalkeeper than Krasnodar’s Matvey Safonov.
Adamov left Sochi for Zenit in July, signing a four-year contract with the Saint Petersburg club with an option to renew. This season, the 25-year-old goalkeeper has not played a single game.
– Do you consider yourself stronger than Safonov?
– I think yes.
– Is Adamov the best goalkeeper in the RPL?
– No. Maybe Igor Akinfeev. There are other guys too. Sergei Pesyakov, for example.
“He made mistakes…
– Everybody makes mistakes. But the way he plays with his feet, how much he saves the team,” Adamov told RB Sport.
