In the 10th minute, Kazan opened the scoring – Rustam Ashurmatov scored from a corner. After 20 minutes the hosts doubled their lead, this time defender Yegor Teslenko scored from a free kick. At the end of the first half, “Urals” managed to recover and reduce the score difference thanks to a goal from striker Alexei Kashtanov.
In the second half, the score did not change. As a result, 2:1 is the first victory for Rashid Rakhimov’s team in the Russian Cup.
