Ukrainian coach Sergey Rebrov will lead Al Ain and next season. Today a club from the UAE officially announced an extension contract with a mentor until June 2023.
Rebrov became the head coach of Al Ain in the summer of 2021. Previously, he headed the Kiev Dynamo, Al-Ahly from Saudi Arabia and the Hungarian Ferencváros.
Under the leadership of Rebrov, Al-Ain won the UAE Championship, ten points ahead of the closest pursuer. Also, the Ukrainian team became the winner of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
It was reported that Rebrov wants to invite two players from the Ukrainian Championship to Al-Ain – Shakhtar goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov and Dynamo midfielder Serhiy Sidorchuk.
