Belgium winger to stay in Premier League

Fulham announced the transfer of a flank defender Timothy Castagnawho previously spoke for Leicester.

The amount of the transfer is not officially advertised. The Belgian signed a contract until the summer of 2027 with the possibility of an extension for another 12 months. He will play in the London club at number 21.

The 27-year-old Castagne, who can play on both sides of the defense, moved to Leicester from Atalanta in 2020. For the Foxes, he managed to play 112 fights, scored 5 goals, gave 8 assists. In addition, he has 33 matches (2 goals + 3 assists) for the Belgian national team.

Leicester, the 2016 English champions, were relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2022/23 season and were forced to sell off their leaders. Defenders Caglar Soyuncu, Johnny Evans, Daniel Amarti and Ryan Bertrand, midfielders James Maddison, Youri Tielemans and Nampalis Mendy, wingers Tete, Ayose Perez and Harvey Barnes left the club this summer.

Fulham in the third round of the new season played away draw (2:2) with Arsenal and, having scored 4 points, is in 12th place in the Premier League. On September 2, Summer Residents will visit Manchester City.
