Dynamo Kyiv’s head coach commented on the team’s loss to Besiktas in the Conference League.

Dynamo players played against very strong opponents like Besiktas. This is what the head coach of the Kyiv club, Mircea Lucescu, said after the qualification match for the Conference League.

According to the Romanian specialist, he liked the atmosphere in the stadium where he worked for two years.

– After many years, you came back to Besiktas stadium. How do you like the environment?

– Yes, in fact, I liked the atmosphere in the stadium, it was incredible. But I also invested in this stadium during my two-year contract with Besiktas.

– Abubakar, after scoring a goal, run to your coaching shop…

– I don’t know why it happened. But this testifies to his upbringing, education.

– What tactics do you have for the fight?

– In general, we have different tactics for the two halves. In the first half we played one way, in the second – differently. Besiktas opened the scoring, then his experienced players kept the desired result. After a missed goal, our players, students of Dynamo Academy, had to give everything for the sake of the result, but they again made a mistake in defense.

– You know the Turkish league very well. Based on the two matches against Besiktas, what can you say about the team?

– I don’t discuss other people’s groups. Besiktas spent a lot of money, they have experienced players, and in this respect it is very difficult for us to compete with them. But I am proud of my players, even with such a strong opponent they played with dignity and adequately represented their country in the international arena.

It will be remembered that Dynamo lost twice to Besiktas and will not play in European competition this season.
