The striker’s contract with Minay has come to an end
Mina’s head coach Vladimir Sharan commented on the striker’s future at the club Evgenia Selezneva.
“Evgeny’s contract with Minay ended. I was pleased with his performance during the winter training camp in Turkey. And, of course, everything will depend only on him,” Sharan said.
“Eugene and I have already talked about this. I, in turn, will support him if I see that he takes the matter as seriously as he did in Turkey when we got to know each other better in Mina. I rely on him and count on his experience.”
“We understand that the championship will not be the one we are used to. In the sense that many foreign players will leave the clubs. And maybe that’s all. For Eugene, this is an additional chance to prove himself better on the football field. It all depends on his work, health. But I hope everything goes well.”
Last season, the 36-year-old Seleznev scored one goal in 16 matches for Minay in the Ukrainian Premier League.
The start of the new season in the championship of Ukraine is tentatively scheduled for August 20.
