The Brazilian national team has a new coach for the women’s team for the next four years. Arthur Eliasformer commander of the Corinthianswas announced this Friday afternoon, the 1st, and will be responsible for the national team both at the Paris 2024 Olympics and at the next World Cup, in 2027.
The professional had been at Timão since 2016, and there was no lack of titles to fill his curriculum and make himself fit to be hired by the Brazilian National Team for this challenge. At the age of 42, the commander has already stacked several cups such as Paulistão, Brasileiro and Libertadores, on three occasions.
For Corinthians, there were 316 matches played, winning 249 wins, 42 draws and 25 defeats in the period. There were 4 titles in the Brazilian Championship (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022), three in Paulista (2019, 2020, 2021) and three in the Copa Libertadores (2017, 2019, 2021).
On some occasions, Arthur had already admitted his desire to take over the Brazilian national team, and at some point also migrate to men’s football. Despite this, the success in the female category extends its path and gains new chapters with women.
