Grealish and Alexander-Arnold to miss England’s clashes with Ukraine and Scotland

Players walk out of Gareth Southgate’s squad after injury assessment

Attack England Jack Grealish and midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss the September matches of the national team with Ukraine in the selection for Euro 2024 and friendly match with Scotland.

The striker was injured a few days ago and did not take part in Manchester City’s win over Fulham in the Premier League. Alexander-Arnold was substituted in the second half of Liverpool’s match against Aston Villa. Both players were included in England’s squad for the September matches, but left the national side after an injury assessment.

Recall that due to injuries, defenders John Stones and Luke Shaw were not included in the list of Gareth Southgate’s team. Also missing from the list is Raheem Sterling.

England will play against Ukraine in the 5th round of the group stage of Euro 2024 qualification. The fight will take place on September 9 in Wroclaw, Poland. The friendly match between the team of Saitgeut and Scotland will take place on 12 September.

England are leading Group C for UEFA Euro 2024 with 12 points after four rounds. Ukraine has six points after three matches.
