Rudko, Bondar, Shved and Miroshi are in Shakhtar’s Champions League squad

Miner announced application to the group stage Champions League 2023/24. In total, there are 33 players on the Pitmen’s list. Eight of them are listed under B.

Recent newcomers Artur Rudko, Irakly Azarov and Novatus Miroshi were included in the application list. There is also an injured defender Valery Bondar, who will return to action no earlier than October, as well as winger Marjan Shved, who has not yet played in the new season. Latin Americans Pedrinho, Eginaldo, Neverton and Denil Castillo are available.

At the same time, there was no place in the application for flank defender Lucas Taylor, who is close to terminating the contract with the club, young winger Khusrov Toirov and seriously injured striker Lassine Traore.

In the first round of the Champions League, Patrick van Leeuwen’s team in Hamburg will host Porto on 19 September. Shakhtar will also face Barcelona and Antwerp in Group H.
