Ex-Fluminense strikes with Saudi Arabia team

Midfielder Dudu Figueiredo was revealed by Coritiba and had a spell at Fluminense; the player’s last club was Camboriú, from Santa Catarina

the sock Dudu Figueiredo is yet another player who headed to football in Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old midfielder, who has worked for teams such as Coritiba, Fluminense, Nauticalamong others, agreed with the Al-Kawkab FCa club that operates in the Saudi second division and refers to the third level of local football.

This will be Dudu’s fourth spell in Saudi Arabia. Previously, the midfielder defended the Ohod, Al Taee and Al-Orobah. The Brazilian celebrated the success and return to the Arab country.

“I am very happy to return to football in Saudi Arabia, this will be my fourth visit here and I am very motivated. Since I arrived here for the first time, back in 2017/2018, I really liked the country, I adapted quickly and created a great affection. I’ve had a few other passages and I’ve always been happy. I hope I can play great football and help my team in the best possible way”, he said.

With the great growth of football in Saudi Arabia, hiring great stars of world football, all other divisions of local sport have grown. Dudu spoke about the first moments in the team and highlighted the expectations for the season. His contract with Al-Kawkab FC runs until June 2024.

“Football in Arabia has a very big project, not only focused on the first division, but on football in the whole country, it is a big investment. All teams are strengthening and bringing players from outside. It will be a very difficult season, with many qualified teams. We’re going in with the thought of moving up in the division and we know it won’t be easy, but that will be our goal”concluded Dudu.
