Vasily Kobin close to leaving Metalista. Since August last year, ex-coach Minaya has held the position sports director Kharkovites.
It is reported that changes are coming in the Kharkov club. So, Metalist can say goodbye to Kobin, who was previously involved in team building and organizational issues. This may be directly related to the return of Evgeny Krasnikov and the strengthening of his role in the club. It is also worth bearing in mind the recent appointment of Papa Guye as Vice President.
38-year-old Kobin, when he was a player, played for Shakhtar and a number of other Ukrainian clubs (including Metallist), as well as the Belarusian Shakhtar, Kazakhstani Tobol and the Ukrainian national team. He ended his career in 2019, worked as the head coach of Minay, and in the summer of 2022 he was officially appointed to the position of sports director of Metalist.
The Kharkiv club left the UPL at the end of the 2022/23 season. In group A of the First League, Metalist scored 4 points in 6 rounds and takes the penultimate place.
