In the first meeting with Morocco, the pre-Olympic Brazilian team suffered defeat in the friendly preparatory match for Paris 2024; countries face each other again next week
Under the command of Ramon Menezes, the Brazilian Team pre-Olympic match was defeated 1-0 by Moroccothis Thursday, 07, in a friendly preparatory match for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. El Ouahdi scored the only goal of the match at the Fez Sports Complex, in the African country.
This was Brazil’s first friendly against the Moroccan national team, current champion of the African Cup of Nations in the category and already guaranteed in Paris. The next game of the Olympic cycle will be played on Monday, 11.
The soccer pre-Olympics will be played in January, in Venezuela. Before that, Brazil will compete in the Pan American Games, in October this year. Brazil is the current two-time Olympic champion in the category.
Blackout
The beginning of the second half was marked by a blackout in the stadium. There was no electricity for about 14 minutes, paralyzing the confrontation. The game restarted after the partial light came back, even with reduced lighting conditions.
