Criscito on Genoa relegation: “When you change three coaches, a lot of things don’t work out”

In an interview given Il Secolo XIX – Genoa, former captain of Genoa Domenico Criscito he spoke, among other things, about the situations he said led to the club’s relegation to B: “What went wrong? Many things. When you change three coaches in a year, it means that different things did not go well.. On a personal note, before the injury, it was perhaps my best season at Rossoblue. After the last game against Atalanta in December, there was the first shin injury, then Covid, then the coach wanted to quickly restore me, and I had a relapse. I came back and I had a new relapse. Then there was another story with moving to Toronto in March, which did not help me. These were very difficult months. The birth of my daughter should have been a wonderful event from the beginning, but my wife had complications and other thoughts came up. Then I was able to come back and I don’t think that I was spoiled in terms of performance.”
