The Justice determined this Monday, 27, that the confrontation Vasco x sport should be held at Maracanã. The duel valid for the 16th round of Série B of the Brazilian Championship is scheduled for next Sunday, July 3rd. The decision came after the cruzmaltino club filed a lawsuit against the stadium administrator.
The team filed a lawsuit last Friday, 24th, after the concessionaire vetoed Vasco’s request to take the duel against Sport to Maracanã. For the club, the negative response was a form of retaliation for the conflicts between the parties before the duel against the cruisewhen the stadium received more than 60 thousand fans.

The magistrate, however, highlighted that the amount of R$ 250 thousand, paid for the release for the game against Cruzeiro, must be the same for the duel against Sport: “I determine that the Complex will make available the Maracanã Stadium, and everything else that is necessary, for the match between Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama and Sport Clube Recife on July 3, 2022, at 4 pm, at the exact same time. conditions practiced in the game between the author and Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, held on June 12 of the current year”, highlighted.
