Experienced goalkeeper – graduate of the Kyiv club
Kyiv Falcon joined its ranks with a 34-year-old goalkeeper Andrey Beskhlebny.
Beskhlebny is a graduate of Kiev Sokol, for whose first team he played 7 matches in 2007 – 2012. He also played in Ukraine for Donbass, Lvov, Krivbass, Generals and White Bars, as well as the Port Huron Prowlers from the USA in the FHL. In the 2010/11 season, as part of Donbass, Andrei won the Ukrainian championship, and with Krivbass (2017) he won bronze.
Beskhlebny had a long pause in his career. He did not play since the 2017/18 season until he signed a contract with White Bars in 2021.
Previously, Sokol was joined by former Legion players Viktor Zakharov, Ruslan Romashchenko, Alexander Filimonov and Andrey Yavny, as well as titled defender Vladimir Aleksyuk.
Sokol became the champion of Ukraine in the 2022/23 season. Sokol is preparing for the next national championship under the leadership of Oleg Shafarenko.
Sokol will also compete in the 2023/24 Continental Cup. The Kiev team ended up in Group D of the second round, where they will play with the Serbian Red Star, the Hungarian Ferencvaros and the winner of Group B of the first round.
Very soon the people of Kiev will start in the 2023 Ukrainian Cup, which will take place from September 13 to 16.
