Ukrainian national team won the medal standings of the stage World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnasticswhich ended in the Hungarian city of Szombathely.
Ukraine was represented at the tournament by six athletes: Nazar Chepurnoy, Oleg Vernyaev, Panteley Kolodiy, Nikita Melnikov, Elizaveta Gubareva and Anna Lashchevskaya. In total, our gymnasts won seven medals, including three gold.
Vernyaev won gold in the parallel bars exercise and silver on the pommel horse. Chepurnoy won the vault and took third on the uneven bars. Lashchevskaya won gold in the beam exercises, Gubareva won two silver medals on the balance beam and uneven bars.
Ukraine wins the medal standings of the Challenge Cup for the second time in a row; previously, Ukrainian athletes triumphed at the stage in Mersin, Turkey. The Challenge Cup season will end with the stage in Paris on September 16-17. After it, the 2023 World Cup will take place in Belgium from September 30 to October 8.
