The Dutchman appointed Zorya’s head coach

The Luhansk club has selected Patrick van Leeuwen as the team’s new coach.

Dawn named the new head coach. They became Dutch specialist Patrick van Leeuwen. According to the press service of the Luhansk club, the contract is for three years.

Note that the 52-year-old specialist has previously worked in Ukraine. From 2006 to 2013, he worked in the Donetsk Shakhtar structure.

Van Leeuwen was then the sporting director of Kairat of Kazakhstan, and in 2016 he became executive director of Maccabi (Tel Aviv). At the end of the 2019/20 season, he became the acting head coach of this club and won the Israeli Super Cup.

Under his leadership, in the 2020/21 season, Maccabi took second place in the national championship and won the Israeli Cup.
