Towards the end of the first half, Gareth Southgate’s side scored twice. Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham scored goals.
After the break, Scotland reduced the gap thanks to an own goal from Harry Maguire, but the home team failed to come back. In the 81st minute, Harry Kane set up the final score of the match, taking advantage of Bellingham’s pass.
England and Scotland lead their respective qualifying groups for the 2024 European Championship. Southgate’s side top Group C, which also includes Ukraine, while the Scots are top of Group A.
Scotland will play a qualifying match against Spain on October 12. England will play a friendly match with Australia on October 13.
