Romania national team beat the home team Kosovo during a qualifying match for the 2024 European Championship.
The meeting took place in Bucharest and ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the hosts, the goals were scored by Nicolae Stanciu (83) and Valentin Mihaile (90). The visitors played outnumbered from the 42nd minute after Vedat Muriqi was sent off.

In the 18th minute, the match was suspended due to an action by Romanian fans who hung a banner with the inscription “Kosovo is Serbia”. The Kosovo players drew the attention of French referee Willy Delageau to the behavior of the fans, after which he suspended the match and then removed the teams from the field.
After a 50-minute break, the referee resumed play.
