The French club wants the Ukrainian midfielder to stay on the team for the future.
Despite significant downgrades and major financial problems, Bordeaux wants to buy Daniil Ignatenko’s contract. This was reported by journalist Viktor Vatsko.
Recall that due to large debts to creditors, Bordeaux was immediately sent to the third division of the French championship. The rights to Ignatenko belong to Shakhtar.
The Ukrainian has spent the last six months on loan in Bordeaux. To keep the 25-year-old player in their squad, the French club must pay 2.5 million euros before 1 July.
Bordeaux are also ready to resell Ignatenko to one of the clubs in Europe. Clubs from Belgium, Germany and England are interested in Ukrainian.
