The Brazilian team returns to the field for the qualifiers in October, on the next FIFA Date. On the 12th, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), Brazil receives the Venezuela, at Arena Pantanal. The fourth round will be played on the 17th, at 9pm, against Uruguayout of home.
The game
The team led by Fernando Diniz was more dangerous in the second half and scored in the 29th minute, with a goal headed by Richarlison after a cross from Bruno Guimarães. The move, however, took seven minutes for the VAR to review and cancel due to the Brazilian striker being offside. The team had already found the net with Raphinha’s shot, but the assistant canceled the shot on the spot.
Brazil still had a good chance with Neymar’s cross shot, but Gallese made the save. On the other side, the home team failed to shoot on target and only faced danger from Guerrero’s shot over Danilo.
In the 18th minute of the second half, Neymar took the corner for Brazil, and Danilo went towards the ball. Corzo played it backwards and sent it into the net from the outside. The referee only scored a goal kick and heard a lot of complaints from the Brazilians. In the best opportunity, in the 26th minute, Raphinha spun on the mark and struck firmly with his left foot. Gallese flew and sent the ball for a corner.
At lights out, in the 45th minute, Marquinhos opened the scoring for Brazil. After Neymar’s precise corner from the left, the experienced Brazilian defender deflected it at the first post and sent it into Gallese’s left corner: 1-0.
