Today the Lugansk team lost to Metalist 1925
Trainer Zari Valery Kriventsov commented on the team’s defeat from Metallista 1925 (1:2) in the 7th round Ukrainian Premier League.
Zarya has not yet officially announced the appointment of Kriventsov as head coach. Let us remember that at the end of August, Lugansk coach Nenad Lalatovich announced his departure from the club.
“I’ve been working with the team for a very short period of time. It will take time to convey some game principles to the players. We missed an unnecessary first goal. Then we equalized the score. Afterwards there was a penalty… We need to watch the replay. We created two more good chances to come back. Antyukh hit the post, and after Wendell’s shot the ball flew past the goal,” Kriventsov said.
“I saw a great desire among the players on our team to play football. They listen to me. Everyone is absorbing it, but it takes time.”
“We will do everything in our power to perform well in the Conference League. The team has changed compared to last season. Now is the chance for football players to express themselves and prove themselves. I will give everyone a chance. We are getting to know each other. I see the guys have a great desire.”
Zarya with 5 points is in 12th position in the UPL. The Lugansk team will play its next match on September 21 against Ghent in the Conference League.
