Porto without Marcano and Evanilson will go to the match with Shakhtar in the Champions League

Also not included in the Dragons’ roster were forward Danny Namaso, midfielder Daniel Veron and suspended winger Pepe.

Porto announced the application of 22 players who will go to the match with Miner in the first round of the group stage Champions League.

The list did not include defender Ivan Marcano and forward Evanilson, who were out for a long period due to injuries. Forward Danny Namaso and midfielder Daniel Veron were also injured in training. 26-year-old winger Pepe, who is serving a suspension for being sent off in the match with Inter in the 1/8 finals of the 2022/23 Champions League, will not play against the Pitmen.

Earlier it was reported that three central defenders at once – Nikolay Matvienko, Valery Bondar and Dmitry Chigrinsky – would not help Shakhtar in the first round of the Champions League against the Portuguese. Defender Pedrinho and midfielder Anton Glushchenko are also not on the roster for the next match.

The match between Shakhtar and Porto will take place in Hamburg on September 19. About 46 thousand fans out of 51 thousand available seats will watch the match at the Volksparkstadion. The meeting starts at 22:00 Kyiv time. The match will be judged by the Italian team of referees led by Davide Massa.
